Make a Lasting Impact
Support West Side Rowing Club
Planned giving is the process of making a significant charitable gift during a donor’s life or at death that is part of his or her financial or estate planning.
Planned gifts make use of legal and tax strategies requiring donors to turn to professionals for assistance. In contrast, a charitable donation made from a person’s cash flow is not defined as a planned gift. Examples of the most common planned gifts are assets such as appreciated securities, charitable gift annuities, bequests, charitable remainder or lead trusts, life insurance or retirement plan designations, and other provisions of future interest. Please contact our Club President, Kirk Lang (president@wsrc.org) to learn more about these and other options that are available.
West Side Rowing Club is proud to offer a Legacy Crew Society to forward-thinking people who have included WSRC in their will or have named WSRC as a beneficiary of a planned gift. Planned gifts will be utilized to further develop WSRC into a world class rowing center and community boathouse. Long lasting support is necessary to ensure the continued growth of the sport of rowing in Buffalo and Western New York.
Your planned gift will have a permanent effect on the programming options and future development of the club. I urge you to review your estate planning with your family and legal advisors to see if a planned gift to the West Side Rowing Club is feasible. Contact our Club President, Kirk Lang (president@wsrc.org) for further assistance and to answer any questions.
